Greed's Seiko DP-692T (05/26)
General
Kind of basic model, rather popular (at least as per number appearing in online sales). The weirder brother of Seiko DP-690 I guess. Slightly bigger, rounder, chubby. Therefore, I read its shape as very beautiful and universal. It has plenty of 70s flip-clock charms and will always be a good pick to show if someone asks you, "OK. I get it. But how does a flip clock look?"
The New Owner
This one is for "Greed". This is the dude with whom I was attending manga and anime conventions in Poland (that's where I live), when I was a very young guy. He was from a different town, but he was also such a vivid, lively person, that our low-profile, online-based relationship still exists. He will be a good guardian for this beautiful, restored flip clock.
Repair
Quite a regular job. Open it, tear it down until pretty much the last bit, clean all the stuff, oil it up, solder the new diode. Polish the casing and the glass. The clock was looking rather ugly when it came, but the final shots show how magnificent piece of technology it is.
Cheers!
