General

It was okay at the beginning. Game looks beautiful. Actions and the way of stacking their cards, so they become stronger, is a great fun. However with each next round the game felt more, like we are just "repeating" ourselves. Game have a lot of juggling with the stuff, resources, and a "felt smart" moments, but also not much progression and feel of "achieving something". It's all fine I guess. Many games live good lifes working like that, but it can be quite tiresome, if they last for so long. Close to the end of game it started dragging for us. The final rounds were quite anticlimiting, and just "looking for the best option" from the very limited pool.

Still. Please remember, that it was our first playthrough. A learning game and it was feeling quite nice for a longer stretch of time (early and mid game). We still would like to repeat the playthrough and maybe discover some new depth or flow within the title, but at the same time it's one of those games, where the answer for the question "Are we playing it again next week?" is "Naaah. Maybe some time in the future, but for now let's play something else."
