Taser's Citizen 5RD021 (04/26)
This is the first, and possibly the last Citizen flip clock, i've restored. This belongs now to my long time friend Taser. Maybe as part deal, as he is printing some stuff for my Warhammer, but still, I've pured a lot of love into it..
The "thing" about those clocks is, they that have divied the flips for tens and ones. So differently to Seiko and Copal models they have three flip wheels. All this makes the clock more complex mechanism. More complex usually doesn't mean better. :D But... I did it and it works and it's beautiful. THe biggest downside of this type of mechanisms is, how long it takes to go through the minutes, tens of minutes and hours, when you want to set the time.
Restoring process was taking a lot of time. It took me quite a time to tear it off, clean all the bits and put it back together properly. It felt slightly like a puzzle, but I was making photos along the way. I belive I placede one spring in wrong place. But it works. :P It's fine. ;-).
Taser. I hope, you will be having a blast with it, and that it'll work for your for the next half of the century. Let's flip!
